rule 1 - be friendly * be fair * have fun

play. win or loose. have fun. don't be insulting, don't be nasty. neither with your nickname nor your chat. just be nice and respectful.

rule 2 - camping and boring driving

do not camp. i repeat - do not camp. keep in mind: you don't play alone on the server, so all the other players must wait until you finish. that's bad and spoils the fun. if someone spoils the fun then the others get angry at you. then the fun is over. camping gets you admin-killed, kicked or even worse. if you camp because you have been boxed  in and there is no exit then kill yourself.

rule 3 - pseudofighting, drawing and mazing

do not pretend to fight on my server. you either really fight or you're just camping posing. that's wasting time and boring to watch. bad playing style. drawing is also strictly forbidden and has nothing to do with playing style - if you wanna draw then use paper and a pen. mazing is allowed, if it's done well then it's fun to watch. if you've been mazed-in, try to get out or die trying.

rule 4 - grinding the outer rim

do not constantly grind the outer rim. it is boring and stupid. very bad. you will get kicked. or worse.

rule 5 - modified clients

if you use a modified client where software helps you driving then you are a cheater. cheating is uncool. if an admin or another player detects your non-human driving skills then you will receive a lifetime ip based ban on norms. that's not a warning - it's a promise.

rule 6 - playingstyle

every playingstyle is allowed on norms, except those who are not permitted by any of the other rules. you may play open or closed, use the rim or not, slow or fast, that's up to you. that's what this game is all about. what really is absolutely unwanted is constant complaining  about other's playingstyles. keep in mind: different people = different styles. respect and tolerate that. if you decided you can't - leave my server immediately.

rule 7 - languages and chat

the language on norms is english. if you wanna talk in another language then use private messaging - use /msg playername message. do not abuse private messaging to insult others. private messages are logged like any other content. please keep in mind that underage children might play on the server.

rule 8 - kickvoting

kickvoting is enabled on norms. don't abuse it. kickvote only if it's neccessary. do not kickvote for fun. if you do, you might get kicked the next time. think twice before you issue a vote.

rule 9 - high pings

high pings are unwanted on norms.  if you don't know what ping is, then read the faq. high pings affect the server and can make playing impossible for all. if your ping gets above 400, then be fair and leave. maybe you have only a bad connection, try again later.

simple rules.

read and understand the rules. we don't need offensive and intolerant players. we don't need egoistic, arrogant and agressive players. leave your personal dramas out. if you need to chat extensively to free yourself from agressions then use msn or go to a shrink.

it is only a game, after all.
